On December 15, 2025 the 2026 Financial Plan was adopted and prioritizes residents and businesses by:

  • Enhancing community safety by adding 2 RCMP and 2 firefighters.
  • Expanding recreation opportunities by extending the Al Anderson Pool season to start on April 13, 2026
  • Investing in basic infrastructure like roads, utilities and parks.

Langley City’s 2026 Financial Plan outlines how we invest in services, infrastructure, and community priorities.

By adopting this year's financial plan earlier than in past years, it allows the City to begin its hiring and tendering processes sooner. This change is expected to result in more competitive quotes and a stronger pool of candidates for various city positions.
